Kniha shrnuje tříletý výzkum věnovaný lokální opozici těžbě uhlí v severozápadní části České republiky. Výzkum samotný rozebírá primárně vztahové dimenze opozičního hnutí a politický kontext, ve kterém toto hnutí operuje.
