Abstrakt

This paper presents an empirical analysis of barriers affecting digital transformation, the use of Content Management Systems (CMS), and the level of digital maturity in organizations. The research is based on quantitative data collected through a structured questionnaire conducted in 2024 with 152 valid responses. The findings identify key obstacles such as lack of financial resources, insufficient digital competences, resistance to change, and outdated technologies. WordPress was the most frequently used CMS platform, indicating its accessibility and dominance among organizations. It also represents the most widely adopted Learning Management System (LMS) in Slovakia, serving as a foundation for developing digital learning environments. The frequency of educational content updates through CMS proved to be a practical indicator of operational and learning-related digital maturity. Results suggest that organizations with more frequent CMS use and higher technical skills achieve greater levels of digital readiness. The study contributes to understanding how digital infrastructure and user competence jointly shape the path toward sustainable digital transformation.
