Abstrakt
Znalostne-intenzívne podnikanie je dnes už nielen vedecky preskúmaným, ale aj v praxi využívaným konceptom podnikania v odvetviach, ktoré majú zvýšený dopyt po nových znalostiach a technológiách. Nízku mieru preskúmania reálneho inovačného potenciálu firiem z takto klasifikovaných odvetví však stále považujeme za dieru v poznaní. Cieľom empirickej štúdie je preskúmať do akej miery znalostne-intenzívne podnikanie v kategórii malých a stredných podnikov naozaj prispieva k inovačnej výkonnosti ekonomiky a či je ich vymedzenie postavené na relevantných kritériách. Pracovali sme s primárnymi údajmi získanými vrámci vlastného Monitora inovačných aktivít v súkromnom sektore a údaje sme spracovali s využitím deskriptívnych metód a logit modelu. Závery poukazujú na určitú mieru praktickej nefunkčnosti konceptu znalostne-intenzívneho podnikania, pokiaľ je postavený dominantne na vymedzení znalostne-intenzívnych aktivít na základe kritéria zamestnávania zvýšeného podielu zamestnancov s vysokoškolským vzdelaním. S využitím výsledkov Monitoru inovačných aktivít znalostne-intenzívnych aktivít v malých a stredných podnikoch, sme nedokázali preukázať vzťah medzi inovačnou výkonnosťou znalostne-intenzívnych MSP a objemom vzdelaného ľudského kapitálu v podnikoch.
